Enter a motorhome make or model
One of the biggest considerations you'll need to make when you buy your motorhome is bed layout.
There are so many choices when it comes to bed types in motorhomes and campers, you'll need to decide which would work best for your individual needs.
Elliot has kindly agreed to demonstrate the types of bed you can find in motorhomes and their benefits.
1. Singles that convert to doubles: Multi-functional, you choose how you want to use them. Two singles allow easy access during the night or choose to have one huge double - the ultimate luxury!
2. Transverse rear bed: Commonly found in van conversions as they can be folded up to gain extra storage when not in use.
3. French Bed: A double bed with an angled corner to allow for extra space.
4. Drop down over cab Bed: Found in A-class motorhomes due to their high cab heights. A luxurious double bed that tucks away neatly when not in use.
5. Make up lounge Bed: Easily converts your lounge into a sleeping area using the cushions come night time.
6. Island Bed: Popular due to being the most like your bed at home, these beds normally benefit with plenty of storage space around them.
7. Fixed over cab Bed: An efficient use of space over an area not used - normally housing a generous double.
8. Drop down Bed: Normally over the lounge area, drop down beds can be electrically operated or manual but are an excellent space-saving idea.
9. Bunk Beds: Perfect for families but many are big enough for adults alike - normally found at the rear of motorhome layouts.
10. Rock & Roll Bed: The staple of the VW camper, where space is more limited, the seating area folds down at night to provide a comfortable double.
Wishing you a restful nights sleep whichever layout suits you best!
